Which schools’ uniforms do you stock?
We stock the official uniform ranges for Wendywood Primary School, Wendywood High School, Buccleuch Primary School, King David Primary School (Sandton and Victory Park campuses), King David High School (Victory Park and Linksfield campuses) and Christian Life Private School.
Where is the shop?
Shop 3, Wendywood Shopping Centre, Daphny Street, Wendywood, Sandton, 2148. The shop is at the Darwin Street end of the centre, on the left. There is ample secure parking at the centre.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. In January we extend our back-to-school hours: Saturdays until 2pm and Sundays 9am to 1pm.
Can I buy uniforms online?
Yes. Place your order on this website and we will confirm stock. You then pay by EFT in advance, or pay when you collect. All online orders are collected in store.
Do you deliver?
No. Online orders are collected in store at the Wendywood Shopping Centre, Sandton.
What if my child’s size is out of stock?
We can order it in. Place the order or give us a call on 011 802 1608, and we will confirm availability and let you know when it is ready to collect.
How long does dry cleaning take?
Most garments are ready within 24 hours of drop-off.
Do you do alterations?
Yes. Our in-house tailors handle hems, take-ins, zips, repairs and school uniform alterations. Most alterations are ready within 48 hours. Bring the garment in and we will measure, pin and quote on the spot. No appointment is needed.
Do you sell school shoes?
Yes. We stock school shoes, takkies and smart shoes from Green Cross, Hush Puppies and Buccaneer, fitted in store. We also carry school bags and haberdashery.
When should I buy uniforms for the new school year?
November and early December are the quietest times to shop, with the best size availability. January is our peak period, so if you shop then, come early in the day.
Do you sell second-hand uniforms?
No. We sell new uniforms only.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card, cash and EFT. EFT payments for orders are made in advance.
How long has Wendywood Drapers been in business?
Since 1972. We are a family-run business and have served Sandton school families for over fifty years.
